| Unpacking:
There is nothing fancy about the packaging. It's simple and it works. The
parts are taped face down. Carefully remove them. If they stick, use a razor
to free them. Lay them out. Then practice fit every piece to orient yourself
for the rest of the process.
1. Clean all factory surfaces with rubbing alcohol and clean lint free rags. Parts will never stick to a surface with Armorall. The surface must be clean. If your acar interior has ever had ArmorAll applied to it, get some cleaners and thoroughly clean the surface and then go back over it again with rubbing alcohol. 2. Follow instructions on primers contained within the kit. User Primer/adhesion promoter on all factory surfaces that the kit will be sticking to. Full coverage is crucial. Make certain that every surface is coated, especially contoured areas. This step cannot be overlooked. Use the primer all at once because it dries out quickly. 3. Install the dash kit in warm temperatures. Lay parts tape side up in the sun(the dash of your car is ideal) so that the parts heat up. 80 degree temperatures are ideal for tape adhesion. So long as the surface and the tape are not cold(below 45 degrees), the kit should adhere without problem. 4. Test fit all pieces prior to removing tap liner. May pieces will need to be flexed to follow the contours of the dash. (Flex but do not bend the kit). The tape and promoter will forma very strong bond that will maintain the contour. Follow the technique in step 5 very carefully. 5. Peel off tape and flex the parts into position, working from top to bottom. Do not just stick the whole part on all at once. Start at the top, stick it on while keeping the lower portion clear. Press very hard one section at a time using a soft cloth to press the parts(it's easier on the hands and slides over the surface). Go back again and press very hard over the entire piece making sure it has bonded tightly. 6. After install,
leave the car in the sun if possible. Wipe off any exposed primer spills
or overspray from cleaner/alcohol. Your kit should look immaculate and
will last the life of your car. Never use Armorall or other protectors
around the trim pieces. The pieces are made of anodized aluminum so they
will not corrode or fade. Clean parts with mild soap and water. In the
rare case, that a piece lifts off, use a dot of carefully applied epoxy
or super glue for an easy fix. Enjoy all the compliments you'll receive,
you're one of a very few that have a real metal interior. All the kits
are custom and limited. In the unlikely event there is a problem or you
require a replacement piece or wish to add to the kit, contact PICI directly.
